Theme: Halloween Haunt

We're transforming a moody 4,000 square ft. urban studio into our first ever Halloween Haunt! For fashion inspiration, look towards the darker edges & corners of your imagination.  Use this slam as an opportunity to create incredible spooky content, just in time for the Halloween season. Not sure what to wear? Consider pulling ideas from darker fashion trends like Dark Academia, Gothcore, Mythical creatures, Whimsicore,  ect. For further inspiration, search #ReunionSlam on Instagram.  Please remember: we celebrate diversity, body positivity, self-expression and creativity. Incorporate your own unique style into your look, let us know if you have any questions, and don't be afraid to get weird.

Models:

Please arrive dressed in theme and ready to shoot. Hazy Dazy Floral Co. will be providing spooky inspired floral artisty for models to incorporate into their look - thanks Emily! Although the venue is largely indoors, consider late September weather and expect to layer up or down, bring base neutrals you're confident in, and comfortable shoes to take full advantage of the space. Models will have their own dedicated changing space inside. Tables & a clothing rack will be available for personal belongings - please bring your own hangers if you plan to bring extra clothing items or accessories. Check-in, meet fellow creatives, browse the space for inspiring locations to shoot, & sample lighting by Nanlite USA. Please be prepared to work with many different photographers and models in short micro sessions. Please try and arrive by 4:30pm. Introductions start at 5pm.

Photographers:

We appreciate it when photographers dress in sync with the vibe and rock the theme, but they aren't required to. Photographers should wear comfortable shoes and arrive with their camera ready to shoot.  Please try to arrive by 4:30pm. After checking in, browse Nanlite's selection of lighting equipment, Tamron's selection of lenses, & additional gear by Focal Point Photography, all available for use (optional) on location. Focal Point Photography will be giving away a prize at the end to the photographer who gets most creative with equipment.  Explore the space for inspiring portrait locations, take a few test shots, and chat with fellow creatives. Introductions start at 5pm. We begin each slam by pairing everyone up. Please be prepared to work with many different models in quick 10 minute sessions. Videography, off camera flash, and film photography are welcome but please check in with us before flying a drone. Photography assistants are required to purchase a general ticket.

This invitation is required to attend. To reserve your spot, please register and purchase your ticket after reading & agreeing to our rules on our website at portraitslam.com/rules.  Your ticket will become non-refundable after September 27th. Only registered participants are allowed to attend our events. Please check in with us in advance to request a special exception. We work hard to curate a balanced & diverse group of creatives. Please let us know in advance if you need to cancel. Invitations can be shared with other models, photographers & videographers.  We always appreciate word of mouth.
