Travis & Courtney, long time curators of MOMA, cordially invite you to an evening masquerade at the elegant Park Victorian Hotel in Auburn, CA in celebration of the museum’s 100th birthday.  Her guest list includes Nor Cal's most inspired portrait photographers & models. Whether whimsical or chic, dress to impress. And be warned: not every guest has creative & collaborative intent.  A murderer will be mingling amongst us with only one thing on their mind...revengee

Rules:

• Our murderer “kills” by delivering a hard & deliberate wink to their victim
• After receiving a death wink, victims must behave normally for 30 seconds before keeling over and dying in any fashion their choosing
• Dead victims cannot resume as ghosts until a photographer captures their crime scene photo for investigators
• Survivors (if there are any) can attempt to oust the murderer at the end of the party
• No accusations can be made until the end of the slam
• Survivors who oust correctly will win a prize

5:00pm: Models arrive for wardrobe and styling

5:45pm: All participants should arrive by this time

6:00pm: Intros begin

8:15pm: Final shots

Wardrobe:

Chic or whimsical vibes (think Great Gatsby or Labyrinth). *Masks will provide a fun element but we no one is expected to wear it throughout the entire evening. Although this slam comes with a murder mystery twist, portrait photography is the focus. We're asking participants (including photographers) to come dressed in theme, if possible. Models can reserve outfits from the Auburn Discovery Shop (2376 Grass Valley Hwy.) and hats & accessories from Robyn's Vintage Apparel & Jewelry (157 Sacramento St. Auburn, CA) from now until Sunday. After the slam, we'll award a prize to the participant who rocks the theme hardest. If you arrive without a mask, one will be provided for you. 

*As always, we celebrate individuality & creativity: please feel free to express that uniqueness. In other words, it's ok to get weird!
