About the Event
Join Portrait Slam as we look back at 2019 images! We’ll share and receive feedback on the images, and prepare together for the 2020 Showing at SOU Gallery! Popcorn & cider provided, all creatives welcome.
Portrait Slam is excited to host the first-ever Feedback Forum on December 14th at LIFE Art Studio & Cultural Center in Downtown Medford! We'll project submitted images from 2019 Portrait Slams for constructive discussion. Hosted by Courtney & Travis Toll, this will be an opportunity for both photographers and models to discuss technique, process, style & ideas for improvement. Popcorn & cider will be provided. Inquisitive minds are mandatory, ugly sweaters optional!
Submitting images for review:
Photographers & Models: Submit 1 or 2 JPEG images from any 2019 Slam to travis@portraitslam.com by Tuesday, December 10th if you'd like to have them reviewed. It may be tempting to pick your two favorite images, but we encourage you to choose images that you'd most like feedback on. Submit images with questions in mind for your peers. Save images as yourname/title before emailing.
Submitting images not required for participation:
All creatives are welcome to attend this forum. We'll discuss aspects of both modeling & photography. Images for review will be chosen based upon a "first sent, first selected" policy, with priority to Portrait Slam VIP Subscribers.
Timeline:
Saturday Dec. 14th
4pm: introductions begin
4:10pm: feedback forum begins: approximately 10 min per slide
5:45pm: final announcements (portrait slam challenge/upcoming events)
Location:
LIFE Art Studio & Cultural Center - Located in downtown Medford, in the alley by the Middleford Parking Structure. Plan to park in the Middleford Parking garage, LIFE Art’s location is clearly marked on Google Maps. Let us know if you need help!
